DESSAZZINATION@PROJECT VIJAY,a Nation Integration Rock Band show in UP MAHOTSAV Lucknow 30th Dec 09

If you can dream it then you can do it..!!

This is what we believe in we are the people of PROJECT VIJAY

PROJECT VIJAY::beyond social and political work!!

Today in this century of globalisation and modernisation Indian youth has gone very far from PATRIOTISM..!! they are blindly running behind western culture and materialistic needs! But then too beside this some youths are there who wants to perform their nation. They heartily respect their nationality, culture, duties and responsibilities.

The age never counts in patriotism! the need is only passion and a will to do..!!

These are not words only...!! This has been proved by the students of LUCKNOW very recently, through a social networking site they came in contact with us and showed their eagerness to perform for project vijay the students were having musical rock band and youth initiative project vijay appreciated their feeling and organised a rock show for them during 7th eve of UP Mahotsav regarding public encouragement in patriotism. Project Vijay’s Rock Band, named “DESSAZZIANATION”consist of class 11th student named Ashutosh-vocalz, Gaurav Pathak- guitarist, Gaurav Srivstava- drummer, Saurabh- guitarist, Vaibhav-rapper & guitarist, Nishit-piano player they made that evening memorable. The show was organised in mini stadium of Vikas Nagar by  'Environment Protection Society' and the students made the public enjoy several songs like RU-BA-RU ROSHNI,  SAYONI AND MAI REE till late night. Later they were joined by INDIAN IDEAL participant Anurag Srivastav and the whole climate was trapped by couple performance of Anurag and Ashutosh in MAA TUJHE SALAAM..!! Within the same program for the motivation of the people PROJECT VIJAY presented their rural and urban activities with the help of LCD Projector

This is what we require love and respect from general public. No doubt Indian citizens are very dutiful and honest towards their day to day life that’s why only our economy was most stable economy of world during economy depression and also a nation grows only when its population work, but on the point to shine and lead the whole world we require something more than day to day routine work not the fight not the money making jobs..

But..!!

We have to look after wrong and right happening, we have to look after political and social issues, we have to take care of environment help the poor people and if possible educate a slum child on our own efforts. It is said by our former president Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam that if one citizen will teach one child the whole nation will get 100% educational rate soon and easily.

So this is our aim and goal to bring all the citizens inside the common umbrella of PATRIOTISM and serve nation with honesty in social and political aspects, so that we could lead to a shinning nation common friends!! These students conquered thousands of brains through their passion now its your turn let your passion leads to a shinning nation..!!

SERVING BLANKET TO NEEDY

Let me tell you about an incident which took place  on 23rd Dec, 2009. It was 2 am and the whole town was fast asleep ( no-one give consideration to pain n sorrows of roadside people) . But a group of youngster, PROJECT VIJAY were awake and ready to  fulfil their moral duty towards the nation. Roaming on the streets, in the freezing night , these youngsters saw Birju and Sukhdev the road side people  in front of  Wave Mall Gomti Nagar Lucknow. They were shivering because of low temperature without any shed and blanket . Only a tin banner on there body. That’s the real scenario minus degrees indian nights . We could not do much but still we tried are bestwe provided them with a  blanket. Similarly we saw Ram who was sleeping  on the Lohia Path in front of Fun Republic Gomti Nagar Lucknow. therefore we tried our 100 % to help   Raju, Manoj & Rakesh we took them to  GPO Hazratganj Lucknow.

This step might not be enough to protect all such Indians from the cold but at least it was a first step.  Sri Shubh Narayan Singh helped us  providing the blankets.

In the same context PROJECT VIJAY identifed a mentally Old Man near by 19/1145 Indira Nagar, Lucknow on 31st Dec Evening. Then, we gave some warm cloths to him and handover to Dr. Dhakola, Nirvan Hospital, Ismailganj, Faizabad Road with the help of UP Police Incharge Mr. Santosh Kumar Yadav & Mhd. Izaz Amad.

There is a famous Akbar-Birbal story where a man spends his whole night in the cold river water by just feeling the warmth of a far away lamp. Similarly this story is true for all such poor Indians who live out their nights out on the roads.

Appeal: If you think in this extremely cold environment we have to donate some warm cloth to the needy people then you may contact us. Hoping for a positive response (Contact 09415509920 & 09305963744)

Wishes for a great new year 2010.

LUCKNOW 22 Nov 09: YOUTH MOVEMENT AGAINST CORRUPTION

PROJECT VIJAY “Victory of India by Joint Action of Youth” a revolutionary youth cantered organisation who has materialised the dream of corruption free INDIA, appreciated the step adopted by some respected judges of hon’able judiciary and some senior bureaucrats to declare their fixed and movable assets self willingly in front of populace. It showed that they understand their moral responsibility towards nation as well as citizen of India. The youth from various colleges and institutions came in today’s campaign of PROJECT VIJAY and they all appeal together that the rest of bureaucrats, political parties, non-government organisation, non social organisations which are running by the money of the common people of the nation. They should come forward and must understand their moral responsibility towards the nation and declare their fixed & movable assets publically. Because all the payment and other expense they get, it is all due to the taxes which is given by the every citizen of our nation. Only by this step the accountability will come in the governance which will definitely aid to decline the corruption rate of the nation.

Instead, Project Vijay, decided to dig out the real facts utilizing the power of RTIs. In this regard, Project Vijay’s youth RTI Activist filed an RTI directed to the Central Public Information Officer, Prime Minister’s Office. The RTI was subsequently transferred to the Foreign Tax and Tax Research Division I. The reply to 2 questions pertaining to the release of accounts of Indians in the Swiss Bank to the Government of India was that no such information existed with the division, and third about correspondence between the Indian Government and the Swiss Bank was said to be exempted from the RTI Act. In lieu of further explanations, we wonder if any information does exist with the government, or if the RTI was even forwarded to the right department, considering that the matter had been thus far handled mostly by the Ministry of External Affairs. A second RTI has thus been filed directly to the Ministry of External Affairs pending answers.

All the youth who came in this campaign along with PROJECT VIJAY thinks that, if a law or act does exist right from the time of independence that every bureaucrats and political parties are compel to declare their all assets at every year publically. Then the money of our country which is today in foreign banks remain in our nation and our nation doesn’t suppress by any kind of foreign debt. Our nation doesn’t have lacunas like as illiteracy, poverty & slums. Definitely in our nation its demigod i.e. farmers living a prosperous life and not a single shameful incident like their suicide due to poverty and huge debt never ever occur.

So to speak having a dream of developed and prosperous nation, the youth from University, various colleges, institution’s & slum youth came forward and took an active participation in this youth movement against corruption.

The youth were present at the campaign Himanshu, Er. Mahendra, Mrs. Urvashi, Er. Pawan (Spokesperson), Yogesh, Sudhakar, Dr. Siddharth, Abhishek, Jai Kisan, Sharda, Preeti, Neha, Naseem, Saurabh, Neraj, Rahul, Saleem and many more.

Revolutionary step for voluntarily declaration of Assets by IAS & IPS Officers

In recent times, many questions have been raised over the integrity of our highest administrative officers. In such a scenario, where corruption plagues our Government chambers, a few honourable and hard working officers have undertaken a unique initiative to introduce complete transparency in the system. On 5th November, 2009, three IAS officers- Vijay Shanker Pandey, Sunil Kumar and Renuka Kumar; and an IPS officer of the UP cadre Jasbir Singh voluntarily declared their assets before the Union cabinet secretary. Following this move, many more honest officers including six IAS and two IPS officers have already agreed to declare their assets in a few days as well.

The move has been highly appreciated- both by the sincere and efficient segment of public servants and citizens alike. Such an action will surely help rejuvenated the lost respectability of the civil services and make it much easier to pinpoint corrupt officials. But the action should not be limited to a handful of officers only. There is an urgent need for the same to be undertaken by all al classes of Government officers from A to D grade. And not only those directly working in the name of the government, but the other elements of a good democracy including Social Organizations, NGOs, and important media houses face a moral obligation to present their records on public domain. The spread of corruption to social organizations in the name of community service and media houses creating such a profound impact on the democratic structure by spreading misinformation under profit motives has necessitated this move.

A compulsory display of record of assets must not be merely limited to a moral obligation- nobody tends to take them too seriously. In fact, it needs to be introduced as an amendment Indian Civil Services’ (ICS) Service Rule (SR). For those bodies, who do not yet fall under the jurisdiction of the proposed laws, the public pressure and social responsibility needs to be a guiding force to add credibility to their actions by a formal declaration of assets.

Moreover we need to ensure that efficient and just IPS officers like Mr. Jasvir Sngh are not made sitting ducks at a useless posting with no work to do. We need our men of action to be given the opportunity to exercise their full potential and de-criminalize India, as Mr. Jasvir Singh has so selflessly tried to do- especially in the case of Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya.

The youth of the country hope that such efforts will not go unnoticed, and the current initiatives of the best of our administrative officers will be wholeheartedly supported by the politicians, officers and public alike so that we can effectively weed out corruption from India.

Movement against Chines claim of Arunachal Pradesh

Arunachal Pradesh Students Union had staged a Dharna at New Delhi against the claim of China over AP.The AAPSU movement was supported by students allover the country like Delhi University, Aligharh, Jamia Milia and was also strongly supported by PROJECT VIJAY. In the dharna the AAPSU leader warned the Indian Govt about the danger of Chines infitration into Indian Territory of Arunachal Pradesh and also gave specific incidents a s proof of this. As in the Past in 1962 indians suffered because of Indian Govt the students wanted that the history should not be repeated. Indian Govt. had been caustioned openly so that tomorrow the IndianGovt would not get a chance to say that they were not aware. Since a big percentage of Chineses econmy economy depended on Indian market it was pledged that since the money which Chinese were getting from our country through trade the China would use against us, we should discard their goods unless they behave.Further the students from various universities shuold solidsrity and unity against any external force against India. AAPSU also demanded that the Govt of India should not diprive the people of AP of the development which is taking place in other states esle they will be compled to join the other side. This should be taken as serious warning and PROJECT VIJAY played an important role to show that people of AP were part of India and not outsiders and any such feeling in the minds of Andra Pradesh people needed to be changed. vedio

OUR MISSION

VIJAY stands for
Victory of INDIA by Joint Action of Youth
Project Vijay is a revolution to bring about the Victory of the common Indian, who seeks the assurance of his fundamental rights and justice-from all forms of social, economic and political evils that stem from the inefficient governance and blatant CORRUPTION.

To materialize the dream of our erstwhile freedom fighters & revolutionaries and establish a truly ‘independent and corruption free INDIA’

INSPIRATIONAL LEADERS OF PAST

In the lack of modern day ‘jan-netas’ we have no reason to feel hopeless. The rich history of our country is adorned with great leaders that can inspire us to achieve ours (and theirs’) dream even today.

“When we make others happy, we too gain happiness Happiness, the goal for which we are all striving, is reached by endeavouring to make the lives of others happy.”
Mahatma Gandhi

“For a successful revolution it is not enough that there is discontent. What is required is a profound and thorough conviction of the justice, necessity and importance of political and social rights.”
Dr. B R Ambedkar

“Manpower without Unity is not a strength unless it is harmonised and….united properly,
then it becomes a spiritual power.”
Sardar Vallambh Bhai Patel

"The aim of life is no more to control mind, but to develop it harmoniously, not to achieve salvation here after, but to make the best use of it here below, and not to realise truth, beauty and good only in contemplation, but also in-the actual experience of daily life; social progress depends not upon the ennoblement of the few but on the enrichment democracy or universal brotherhood can be achieved only when there is an equality of opportunity of opportunity in the social, political and individual life."
Sardar Bhagat Singh

“No real change in history has ever been achieved by discussions”
Neta ji Subhash Chandra Bose

‘Dushman ki goliyon ka hum samna karenge, Azad hee rahein hain, azad hee rahenge'
Chandrashekhar Azad

WHY PROJECT VIJAY ?

We Indians are great at commenting on the present state of affairs in our country, but at the same time extremely weak in analyzing the true causes and much less the measures that WE can and are supposed to take to solve the various social, economic and political problems. And even when some of the more intellectual citizens venture to find solutions, they are too lazy to implement it. Moreover, the present surroundings are highly unfavourable to any kind of radical change for a noble cause due to our inefficient and irresponsible administration. We can longer rely on our so called representatives sitting in (or most likely absenting themselves from) the Parliament. In the obvious absence of any dedicated and honest leadership, and unimaginable response to rural and urban development issues by bureaucrats and greedy politicians PROJECT VIJAY was born.

Project Vijay is a youth driven initiative for rural and urban development, to fill the striking gap between what is needed on the part of our Government and oblivious youthful workforce and what actually exists today. Project Vijay is more than a superfluous half-attempt at feeding a few dozens or pointing fingers at a couple of politicians. It is an organized revolutionary movement canalizing the power of the modern enlightened youth to uproot problems like corruption, illiteracy, poverty, socio-political ignorance and other factors gnawing at the very heart of India’s development.

The mission to make India a developed and corruption free superpower has begun and will progress persistently until its objective is achieved.

Let the youth of the country unite and transform INDIA!

HEALTH

The importance of health in the process of economic and social development has been recognised at all the levels i.e. global, national and state level. It is due to this recognition that at global level 189 countries have framed millennium development goals in September 2000; most of which are directly related to health. To achieve those goals and also to improve the health status of the people of the country Indian Government has put forth various schemes, the ultimate aim of all of which is to improve the health and general well being of the people. But due to loopholes in their implementation and lack of awareness among general public, the beneficiaries are unable to avail services properly.

HEALTH CAMP

PROJECT VIJAY works to increase the utilization of the available health services by creating awareness among general public. For this purpose, we target youths. We empower them with information and knowledge not only related with the healthy lifestyle but also about the existing services. At present youth forms a large section of society and if we succeed to sensitize them on health issue, then its definite that the picture of ailing health of Uttar Pradesh will soon.

Project Vijay organizes health check-up camps on monthly basis. This activity has been started from the month of August 2009. The basic aim of these camps are to provide curative services to those poor and needy people who are unable to avail services at government hospitals due to some reasons like poor accessibility and many more reasons. In these camps patients of various diseases are screened and are provided medication accordingly to the degree of severity of their ailment. Patient of minor ailments are provided free of cost medication in the camp only, while patients of severe illness are referred to other hospitals depending upon the severity of illness.

CHILD RIGHTS

PROJECT VIJAY identified a multiple-disability afflicted child in the health camp and took up the responsibility of his treatment. PROJECT VIJAY involved many different organization for the same purpose.

Right To Information Act 2005 (MISSION ANTICORRUPTION)

Citizen action is of paramount importance in uprooting the evil of corruption from our country. No one individual can be the source of change. The whole masses must change. Right from their ‘chalta hai’ attitude to sleeping at home on election day
s. Today, we first give our Government taxes so that the nation can be smoothly run and developed, and then give it more money in the form of bribes so that it doesn’t do what it is supposed to do.
Most of us are aware of one or two fundamental rights, and zero duties. An even lesser fraction actually understands and practices them. This needs to change at once. The citizens must be made fully aware of their duties- both constitutional and
moral. Only when each one performs his or her duty can the nation move forward. And only when one performs his duties well can he have his rights, which again he must be fully aware of before exercising. A citizen’s work doesn’t end at bearing injustice and corruption and complaining uselessly. There are numerous such provisions like Right to Information Acts which permit the common person to fight against corruption. We need to make sure that such means are open to all and used fully.

The introduction to the Right to Information Act, 2005 in the Constitution of India is as follows-
THE RIGHT TO INFORMATION ACT, 2005
No. 22 of 2005
[15th June, 2005]
An Act to provide for setting out the practical regime of right to information for citizens to secure access to information under the control of public authorities, in order to promote transparency and accountability in the working of every public authority, the constitution of a Central Information Commission and State Information Commissions and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
Whereas the Constitution of India has established democratic Republic;
And whereas democracy requires an informed citizenry and transparency of information which are vital to its functioning and also to contain corruption and to hold Governments and their instrumentalities accountable to the governed;
And whereas revelation of information in actual practice is likely to conflict with other public interests including efficient operations of the Governments, optimum use of limited fiscal resources and the preservation of confidentiality of sensitive information;
And whereas it is necessary to harmonise these conflicting interests while preserving the paramountcy of the democratic ideal;
Now, therefore, it is expedient to provide for furnishing certain information to citizens who desire to have it.
Be it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows:—
Clear and simplified instructions for when and how to file a RTI and how to check complaint status are given at:- http://rti.india.gov.in/index.php
RTIs can also be filed online at:-
RTI is one of the most powerful tools used by Project Vijay in uncovering various scams and cases of corruptions. Besides, a lot of seminars have been organized by Project Vijay to promote awareness about RTI Act among the citizens and discuss the problems that might be faced while filing one.

POWER OF RTI Act 2005

PROJECT VIJAY finds out Offenses in St. Joseph Sr. Secondary School, Auraiya (UP) CBSE Affiliated School

Project Vijay Auraiya Unit, found a very unimaginable picture of today's education system. The stories are an eye-opener to any of the intellects and makes one think of how much irregularities have crept in our pious education system . Project Vijay of Distt. Auraiya used RTI and open survey route to find out irregularities in St. Joseph School Dibiyapur Distt. Auraiya (UP) . You name the irregularity , and it is there in St. Joseph School Dibiyapur Distt. Auraiya (UP).Though
the school is affiliated to CBSE board and boasts of one of the best schools run by NTPC a leading public sector undertaking.

The School management is involved in:
Ø sales tax evasion by illegal sale of private books that are not approved by NCERT.
Ø over capacity admissions violating the admission norms Arbitrary appointments of staff
Ø arbitrary fee-structure
Ø violation of reservation norms in admissions
Ø irregularities in distribution of scholarships etc. etc. and thelist is endless.

With examples like St. Joseph School Dibiyapur Distt. Auraiya (UP) , Project Vijay requires support to unearth the irregularities of our education sytems

Everyone is required to do one's duties to save the education system from the clutches of " shiksha mafias " so do contribute.

PROJECT VIJAY found corruption in “bhoomi sarankshan vibhag distt. etawah UP” in the context, social help of tsunami effected individuals

The Indian Ocean Tsunami caused catastrophic damage to the Indian coasts. As a relief measure, Government officials contributed a day's salary to the cause. Officials from the 'Environment Protection Department', Etawah also contributed a day's earnings. But it is a matter of extreme shame that these funds were embezzled by some corrupt officials.

An RTI filed by Radhey Shyam RTI Activist, Project Vijay revealed that the Demand Draft of the relief funds never reached the District Magistrate. A written complaint regarding the this scandal was lodged with the District Magistrate by a few officials in written form. At the same time, the Officer, Muneshwar Lal explained that in 05, one day's salary from the department was cut and the cashier was directed to make a bank draft and hand over the same to the District Magistrate. According to him, he had completed his part in the relief work by 31st May, 05 but wrote a letter to the District Magistrate only after the issue came to light. The revelation by Project Vijay showed that the earnings kept aside for the relief work was returned to the accounts of the workers; which might not be completely true. As a result, Project Vijay has asked the district Magistrate to perform a detailed inquiry of the issue.

VOTER AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

The great freedom fighters, who sacrifice there everything for made this independent nation like ahatma Gandhi, Dr. Bheem Rao Ambedkar, Sardar Bhagat Singh, Rani Lakshmi Bai, Netaji Shubhash Chandra Bose, Ram Manohar Lohiya, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, and Maulana Abul Kalam Azad etc. had a dream to make INDIA a “crime & corruption free nation”. Their dream was materialized by certain politicians and their political parties in the early post-independent INDIA i.e. after 1947. But as after the year 1980’s many regional political parties mushroomed in the country which diluted the Indian politics with their personal interests. These parties divided the country into in-numerous small fragments on the basis of caste, creed, colour, region, religion etc. and sowed the seeds of corruption and disharmony within the country or nation. The criminal records of the candidates were ignored by these parties and tickets were given to wealthy and powerful people, neglecting the truly deserving and worthy candidates. This was just the beginning of a nation-wide disaster, these unworthy yet wealthy candidates got their way to the LOK SABHA and the VIDHAN SABHA by using unfair means like booth capturing, emotionally blackmailing and befooling voters as well as buying votes. Criminalisation of politics & political parties kept on piling up day-by-day. Majority of these politicians are from the states of UTTAR PRDESH, BIHAR, JHARKHAND, CHATTISGARH & MADHYA PRADESH

Apart from Political parties, the Industrialists, the social organizations, and the beurocracy are equally responsible for the CRIMINALIZATION of the INDIAN POLITICS. If the Industrialists of the country, support the honest social organizations to abolish crime and corruption from the nation, then these organizations can actually play a significant role to help, to make the common man aware of their rights and duties etc. and hence, can curb these problems very well at the grass root level. Even the election commission can’t run away from its duties, common man should be made aware of the history of the candidates with a criminal background by the help of these social associations/organisations by displaying on HAND BILLS, POSTERS, BANNERS, PRINT AND ELECTRONIC MEDIA, in the respective constituency regions.

Its apparent that the politicians and the social workers sit in their air conditioned auditorium or air-conditioned cabins and solve the problems of common man there. But the truth is just the opposite of this and the irony is that the industrialists and people from the higher society also support only these materialistic and selfish organizations. The actual need of awareness is in the rural or urban backward areas.

As our experiences, 80% of the country's population lives in the rural or urban backward areas whose votes count more than 60% of the total votes. This rural or urban backward public/people of India can be made aware of their fundamental rights and duties within time by social organizations. So that, these people cast their votes to a learned, honest and truly deserving candidate; transcending the borders of caste, creed, region and religion. And hence a truly worthy candidate could be elected as a member of various political bodies like loksabha & vidhan sabha’s etc.

A common voter should be made aware to ask the candidate to duly sign the “lok ghoshna patra” (undertaking by parliament candidates regarding local & regional development issues) and thus, remind the candidate of his promises with the help of media, letters and dialogue.

Project Vijay ran the Voter Awareness Campaign in a revolutionary way in the backward & outward villages of Distt. Auraiya which is the most criminalized area of Uttar Pradesh. As we all know that India is democratic country where every common people get an opportunity to elect a democratic government. Though the elections, most important part of democracy, people from all sections of society who are supposed to directly participate in the elections. The young and wit full volunteers of PROJECT VIJAY, fulfilled their duties towards the society & our pride nation by running voter awareness campaign (Matdata Jagruta Abhiyan) in this loksabha election 2009 in the grass root level of Uttar Pradesh.

CHOOSE “NOT TO CHOOSE”

VOTE FOR “NOT TO VOTE”

To change the scenario of Indian Politics.......

To make India corruption free.......

To make Indian politics free from the corrupts...

Rule 49O is statutory rules & orders in The conduct of Election Rules, 1961 of ELECTION COMMISSION of INDIA, gives the right to a Elector deciding "not to vote" . This rule states that if none of the candidates seem appealing or worthy enough to the elector or, if the elector does not want to vote for any of the listed candidates, elector can choose "not to vote" procedure. For this, elector has to inform this to the election officer of particular election booth. Thereafter “Form 17A" would be provided to the voter by the Election Officer in the voter register. In this form the voter has to specify elector identity by signature or thumb impression. After this the election officer will put the ink mark on the "Index finger" of the concerned elector (like any other elector) and intimate the same to the Presiding Officer.

Thus, in present election procedure itself there is a facility to filter out un-eligible candidates from reaching the parliament. During counting of votes the "not to vote" are separately counted. Although, there is no set procedure, or set of rules that could define "what to do if the number of such kind of votes (not to vote) are more than the number of votes given to the winning candidate?". So, It is our sole responsibility to promote vote for “not to vote” campaign, to prevent the entry of unworthy, corrupt and irresponsible candidates into the parliament. Promoting this concept on grass root level would help us to Decriminalise the Indian politics.

PROJECT VIJAY is all set to promoted VOTE FOR “NOT TO VOTE”, in the most criminalized areas of UTTAR PRADESH.

Environment Wing

The role of environment cannot be overemphasized with respect to both India and the world at large. Though the environment may not seem to have a direct bearing on the current problems of our society in an instantaneous manner, it does have a profound long-term and ever-lasting effect on everyone. Especially in the context of India, where a large portion of the population lives in unhygienic slums and dirty shacks, incidence of respiratory diseases and pollution related health hazards is rising; thus, it is of prime importance to keep a check on the environment. At the same time, we cannot depend on expensive environmental sustainability measures and complicated procedures like the ones used by developed countries (who cause the most environmental degradation in the first place!).

The measures, here in India MUST satisfy commercial profit motives and social acceptability norms before being implemented. We cannot afford to be idealistic and force students to mug up environmental education books and allocate funds randomly hoping that the things will get sorted out by themselves. It is now time for us to get together and implement a practical action plan for sustainable development. And it was arguments like these that finally lead to the formation of a separate Environmental Wing of Project Vijay to address the aforementioned issues that will very well bear a huge impact on India’s economic growth.

As a brand new wing, we have a lot to do in the near future and to achieve our goals we have amassed considerable support and participation, especially from energetic school students, including some particularly experienced ones. The aim is clear—to usher in a revolution by enforcing commercial plans and silently reaching out to every corner by immobilizing the immense power of the youth instead of just getting down on the streets and shouting slogans to a deaf adult community.

The methodology of the Environmental Wing involves the use of mass media like internet and films. The internet in particular, with its wide social networking sites, connecting the informed youth, can serve as an excellent base of operations, including spread of innovative ideas, debating on important issues, brainstorming for solutions to immediate problems and signing online petitions for changes. Besides that, there will be periodical student conferences to spread the word to people not connected to the internet and inspire leadership and person to person connectivity. Depending on the response, there might even be monthly journals or e-newsletters in the future. Other important objectives of the Environmental Wing include formation and training of environmental clubs at school and promotion of contests that will motivate others to take actions towards environmental sustainability. One such innovative contest is already in the process of being organized under the aegis of Exnora, Lucknow, which has also been extremely keen on helping us with their whole lot of experience in any ways they can. Hopefully, we will be able to convert most of our plans into reality and make a real difference to our environment- no matter how localized to begin with. Details about the contest and some of the practical commercial ideas will be posted soon. So keep checking this space!
